Eligibility criteria for CEED entrance examination

- Appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2021, Passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2021.
- Eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes usually differ from the eligibility criteria for appearing for CEED. Therefore, before applying for CEED, candidates must check whether they fulfil the eligibility criteria for admission to those institutes.
- No age limit to appear for CEED.
- A candidate can appear for CEED any number of times.

CEED Entrance Exam
CEED or Common Entrance Examination for Design is a common exam for postgraduates who are seeking admission in technological design colleges in India. The exam takes place on an annual basis and is jointly conducted at all the IIT and IISc campuses in the country. Some of the most prestigious institutions in the country such as IIT, Srishti Institute of Art, Vellore Institute of Technology and Central Institute of Technology accept CEED scores, and some institutes might have additional tests or interviews of their own to follow up the CEED exam. After clearing the CEED exam, candidates are eligible to apply for M.Des/PhD programmes in colleges that provide these courses. The CEED scores are valid for a period of one year and post that, candidates will require to re-take the exam to be eligible for admission. CEED Eligibility
It is advisable for candidates to check their eligibility before applying for the CEED exam. CEED Exam Pattern
The exam will be conducted in English and will happen in two parts, Part A and Part B, which last one hour and two hours respectively, making the exam a total of three hours. Only students who clear Part A are eligible to sit for Part B. Part A has negative markings. Students are questioned in the following areas -

- Their communication aptitude
- Their rational interpretation
