Note (*): Six different specialisations (Apparel, Accessory, Communication, Textile, and Leather & Knitwear Design.

The shortlisted candidates for the NIFT B. Des. course after the written entrance examination (GAT and CAT papers) are required to undergo Nift Situation Test in April 2022. The fee structure for different NIFT programs in 2022 at NIFT campuses is as follows:

Type 1 Centres: Bengaluru, Chennai, New Delhi, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Indore, Raebareli, and Srinagar.

Type 2 Centres: Patna, Kangra, Bhopal, Kannur, Shillong, Jodhpur, and Bhubaneswar.

The above fee structure for NIFT courses is only for the academic year 2022-2023. Every year, the fees for Indian students get increased by 10 per cent while the fees for NRI students get increased by 5 per cent.

Important - This is the fee structure for the academic year 2022-23. The Indian student fee increases at 10% & NRI student fee increases at 5% every year.

The only medium of instructions at the NIFT campuses is English. The language for GAT, CAT, Situation Test, Group discussion, and Personal interview is also English.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology will not conduct any interviews of candidates applying for admission to the BDes or BFTech program in 2022. However, it will be conducting a personal interview for admission to MDes, MFTech and MFM programs in 2022.

NIFT provides residential accommodation for girls on most campuses. The hostels of NIFT operate on a no-profit and no-loss basis. All the hostel premises provide round-the-clock security, doctor-on-call, indoor and outdoor games, and television.

NIFT campuses that have accommodation for girls only: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kangra, Kannur, Kolkata, Patna, and Shillong.

NIFT campuses that have accommodation for both boys and girls: Chennai, Jodhpur, Indore, and Rae Bareilly. There is no residential facility on campus at New Delhi.

In accordance with rules of Government of India, citizens get reservation of seats on the basis of following categories:

• General seats reservation is 50.5%.
• SC seat reservation is 15%.
• OBC-NC seat reservation is 27%.
• ST seat reservation is 7.5%.
