For the academic year 2022-2023, this is the fee structure for different NIFT courses. The fee for Indian students keeps on increasing by 10 per cent every year while the fees for NRI students get increased by 5 per cent every year.

Students who get shortlisted for the NIFT B. Des. course are expected to undergo the written entrance examination (GAT and CAT papers) in 2022. In 2022, NIFT will not conduct any interviews of candidates who will apply for admission to the BDes or BFTech programs in 2022. However, the National Institute of Fashion Technology will be conducting personal interviews for admission in 2022 to MDes, MFTech and MFM programs.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers residential accommodation for girls at most of its campuses. NIFT hostels operate at a no-profit and no-loss model and are characterised by facilities such as round-the-clock security, doctor-on-call, indoor and outdoor games, and television.

NIFT campuses that have accommodation for both boys and girls: Jodhpur, Mumbai, Chennai, and Rae Bareilly. There is no provision of the residential facility on campus at the NIFT New Delhi campus.

NIFT campuses that have accommodation for girls only: Kannur, Kolkata, Patna, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kangra, and Shillong.

In accordance with rules of Government of India, citizens get reservation of seats on the basis of following categories:

• General seats reservation is 50.5%.
• SC seat reservation is 15%.
• OBC-NC seat reservation is 27%.
• ST seat reservation is 7.5%.
