UPES

UPES School of Design offers various specialized design programs in B.Des & M.Des from product design to fashion, everything under one roof. Moreover, the university has the best track record of placements over the past few years with some of the key recruiters being General Motors, Studio 34, LeanApps, ID Autoworks, Tata Elxsi, XP India and Ashok Leyland.

UPES faculty is from top-notch institutes and with rich industry experience. The design school has signed MoUs with industry leaders like TCS, Lean Apps, Pixel Galaxy and more. It also has more than 10 modern design Studios such as MAC, Cad, fashion lab, 3D printing machines and the list continues. UPES is also an Authorized Training Center for Autodesk.

UPES also gives its students an opportunity for the international exchange program. The students have been selected to study in Coventry University in UK, Bilgi in Istanbul, North Dakota State university and Agnes Scott College in USA in the past years. The school is also a member of World Design Organisation.

B.Des:

Admission Pathway & Eligibility Selection
Exam Pathway
Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (X & XII) (Any Stream)		 UPES-DAT Online Entrance Test from 28 - 30 APRIL, 2020.
Followed by presentation of portfolio and interview in MAY
Non-Exam Pathway
Board Merit: - Minimum 60% marks in class X and XII (Any Stream)
OR
JEE MAIN/UCEED: Minimum 50% marks in class X and XII with valid JEE MAIN/UCEED scores. 		Presentation of Portfolio and Interview which will be scheduled in MAY
Valid and Qualified JEE MAIN/UCEED/NIFT/NID scores. Candidate will be required to appear for interview followed by presentation of portfolio in MAY

M.Des
Admission Pathway & Eligibility Selection
1. Minimum 50 % marks at Higher & Senior Secondary Level (X & XII)
2. B. Tech / BE in any relevant discipline / B. Arch / BFA/ Interior Design/ B. Des/ BVA.
OR
3-year Degree such as B.Sc./ BA/ BFA/ BVA in Applied Art/ Design of any other relevant disciplines (with min. 50% marks) + 1 year of relevant industry experience.
OR
2 years M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Computer Science, CSE, IT subjects / domains (only for Interaction Design). Or equivalent. 		UPES Online Design Aptitude Test(UPES –DAT) from 28 -30 APRIL, 2020 / Valid CEED score followed by Presentation of Portfolio and interview

  • Visual communication skills – through drawing, making or digital creativity. Students can bring their projects they have worked upon.

No, UPES does not provide any reservation in seats of any kind.


They have in campus hostel with limited seats based on first come first serve basis.
