Whistling Woods International

Whistling Woods International is a film, communication and creative arts institute located in Mumbai, India. The institute is promoted by the Indian Filmmaker Subhash Ghai, Mukta Arts and Film City Mumbai. In July 2014, The Hollywood Reporter named Whistling Woods International on its list of "The best film schools in the world". The school was first ranked among the top 10 film schools by The Hollywood Reporter in 2010. All the major specializations of the Media, Communication & Creative industry are catered to in the seven schools housed at Whistling Woods International, namely, School of Filmmaking, Actors’ Studio, School of Animation, School of Design, School of Fashion, School of Media & Communication and School of Music. Whistling Woods International has partnered with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences to ratify all its courses with BSc, BA & BBA degrees, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas and Post Graduate Diplomas.


 

Application & Admission Process


ENTRANCE EXAMINATION PATTERN
Component 1 - General Aptitude Test (60 mins) – Weightage: 30%.
80 MCQs on four topics: General Awareness (20), English Ability (20), Media Awareness (20) & Logical Ability (20). This will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).
Component 2 - Creative Ability Test / Studio Test (60 mins) – Weightage: 20%
The Question Set will be as per the Program applied for.
Component 3 - Statement Of Purpose (60 mins) – Weightage: 20% This is a subjective test, where the applicant needs to write an essay as to why he/she wishes to make a career in the chosen field – guidelines on how to write will be given.
Component 4 - Personal Interview – Weightage: 30% Personal Interview of each applicant before a panel of Faculty of the Program applied for.
ALL COMPONENTS AS LISTED ABOVE WILL BE HELD ON THE SAME DAY AT WWI CAMPUS AT MUMBAI ONLY. CANDIDATES /PARENTS HAVE TO TRAVEL TO MUMBAI TO TAKE THE ENTRANCE EXAM COMPONENTS AT THEIR OWN COSTS.
